Answer In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu 'alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. Sadaqah means charity and Lillah means for the sake of Allah. Sadaqah can be classified into two types: (1) Sadaqah Waajibah (Obligatory Contribution): Such as Zakaat, Sadaqatul Fitr, Nadhr (vow), Yameen (oath) etc. Answer Bismihi Ta'ala There are various types of Sadaqah: 1) Sadaqah Waajibah (Obligatory Sadaqah) This is a charity given due to a vow (if Allah does so and so for me then I will give a certain amount of money in charity), or Sadaqatul-Fitr 9Sadaqah given at the end of Ramadhan), or interest money etc. When a child is born, it has with it a natural belief in God. This natural belief is called in Arabic the "Fitrah". [1] If the child were left alone, it would grow up aware of God in His oneness, but all children are affected by the pressures of their environment whether directly or indirectly. These are: Tasbeeh [saying "Subhaana Allah" (Allah is free from imperfection)], thirty-three times; Tahmeed [saying 'Al-hamdu lillah' (praise be to Allah)] thirty-three times; and Takbeer [saying 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is The Greatest)] thirty-four times; and these should be recited after the conclusion of every prescribed prayer ." [Muslim] Interest is strictly forbidden in Islam and to accept or deal in it is a major sin. Riba in Qur'an "That which you give as interest to increase the peoples' wealth increases not with Allah; but that which you give in charity, seeking the goodwill of Allah, multiples manifold." (Surah al-Rum, verse 39) 5gum.
